Lucerne Laufhund

History

The Luzerner Laufhund is an ancient Swiss dog breed that was originally bred to hunt deer and wild boar in the mountains surrounding the city of Lucerne. The breed has been known since the 16th century and is considered one of the oldest in Switzerland. The dogs were bred by local farmers and hunters to aid in hunting and guarding the land. Character

The Luzerner Laufhund is a confident and intelligent dog with a strong character.
