Korean Jindo

History

The Korean Jindo, often referred to simply as Jindo, is a breed of dog that originated in South Korea's Jindoseom Islands. The breed is named after these islands and has been known there for centuries. In Korea, Jindos are considered a national heritage and are valued for their loyalty and independence.

The breed originated from crosses of local dogs with Japanese dogs imported during the Japanese occupation of Korea in the 1900s. Character
